Apprenticeship
Clinton Anderson's Learn. Train. Teach. Apprenticeship Program
Are you dedicated to becoming the best horseman you can be? Are you passionate about horses and have an intense desire to help other people improve their horsemanship? Do you love working with people and horses? Is learning about the horse your main objective? Are you willing to get paid to learn?

Learn from the master horseman as you advance through one of the toughest, most sought after apprenticeships in the industry. This once in a lifetime opportunity will prepare you for a career as an equine professional.

Over a three year apprenticeship you will get paid to learn Clinton Anderson's Method of training. The first two years of the apprenticeship will focus on learning the Method while during the third year you will learn how to teach the Method.

This program is for horsemen, it is not an office based apprenticeship and while a formal education is desirable it is not necessary. This apprenticeship will be your education. Apprentices will be selected based upon natural ability and willingness to learn. To be successful in this program you must be a people person, enjoy communicating with the public and have the desire to be the best horseman you can be.

Clinton Anderson's Learn. Train. Teach. Apprenticeship Program will provide you with the education you need to become an equine professional. By immersing yourself in this rigorous and comprehensive, onsite training program you'll become accomplished as a horse trainer, clinician and teacher. Upon graduation you will enjoy unlimited earning potential as a Clinton Anderson Professional Clinician.

Learn.
Learn the Clinton Anderson Method. A workaholic and dedicated professional himself, you will work alongside Clinton and his talented staff as they go through the rigors of training horses and people. During this side-by-side learning process, you will live the life of a horseman and clinician and learn of the long hours and patience that go into becoming a household name. Every month you will accompany Clinton on the road as he tours the Country spreading the Method.

Train.
You will learn how to teach both the horse and the human as you train to become a teacher of Clinton Anderson's Method. Like all great horseman you will have to start at the bottom as it is only through learning how to care for the horses and the facilities they live in that you can become truly great. Your days will start at 6 am and continue until every horse is bedded down.

Teach.
Teach what you have learned. As a Clinton Anderson Professional Clinician you can put your education to work and establish your own business as a trainer or a teacher. You can use Clinton's likeness and Downunder Horsemanship's marketing prowess to promote your business through the website and television show.

A Personal Message from Clinton...
"Compare this apprenticeship to going to college. If you go to college the best deal you can get is a scholarship where you get your tuition for free. You'll still have to pay for your accommodation and your living expenses like food, clothes and books so you're going to have to have a part-time job to pay for it all. If you don't get a scholarship, then you're going to walk out of college in debt and that debt could be anywhere from $40,000 - $80,000.

"The way I look at my three-year-apprenticeship is this; basically it's a scholarship. You get all your tuition from me for free; when you think about it just to do one of my three-day clinics costs $2,000. So you get all the information for free and you get paid to do it - you don't get paid a lot but you get paid enough to put food on your table, clothes on your back, you get free accommodation and I pick up all your expenses when you travel. At the end of your apprenticeship with me you're debt free and ready to go make some money.

"You're not going to make any money from me during your apprenticeship but when you finish you are going to make a lot of money from the information that I've given you. You'll be completely debt-free and ready to start your business. I believe that your business will work because I am supporting it with my business."

What the graduates say...
Shana Terry, Professional Clinician.
"The apprenticeship is about advancing your horsemanship skills, advancing your teaching skills and advancing yourself as a person. It's not about getting a person in a specific discipline.

"Even though Clinton specializes in reining and cowhorse, his Method is general horsemanship that every horse should know whether it does English, dressage, western or barrel racing. When we get in horses for training, we ask the owner what they plan to do with the horse, no matter what they tell us we put the same foundation on it. His Method is about putting a good foundation on any horse and I just wish that I had known all this when I was showing my English and jumping horses because it would of made the world of difference."
