Assistant Video Editor
We are looking for a talented, passionate assistant video editor to join our in house production team in Stephenville, Texas studio. This is an assistant editing position with a focus on media & asset management, database work and general assistant editor duties. We are looking for someone who is tech savvy, has a deep knowledge of the post production process and someone who is passionate about the kind of content that we are creating.
Qualifications: High skill level in editing software: Adobe Premiere, FCP7 & the Final Cut Suite of programs, After Effects & the Adobe suite of programs, transcoding and conversion software and a good knowledge of editing with networked drive volumes. High skill level in Media and Asset management: inventory, bar coding, data base work, tagging of clips and inputting meta data, and organization of footage on servers and in editing projects. A deep understanding of codecs, exporting, transcoding and converting video files who can excel in 'finishing a project' (being given a task and seeing it through to completion) The ability to learn new programs and workflows quickly displaying a deep knowledge of the production and post process along with the ability to troubleshoot tech issues.
The right candidate will have the following attributes: qualified training, hands-on relevant assistant editing experience, a high level of understanding with the online digital video production process along with a genuine interest in and aptitude for the type of shows we make, who 'Gets' our brand and voice, can work positively and collaboratively with writers, producers and editors, displays Grace under pressure, great people skills, high integrity and solid organizational skills (both with media management & personally).
