NRHA Colt Starting Demo

Once. That’s how many times Clinton got bucked off a horse while starting colts with his mentor Gordon McKinlay. Considering the pair started 600 horses together, it’s an outstanding number! Clinton is sharing the colt starting technique he learned from Gordon and continues to use on his horses today in a colt starting demo on Saturday, December 7 at the NRHA Futurity & Adequan North American Affiliate Championship at the Oklahoma State Fair Park in Oklahoma City. The demonstration will begin at 8 AM in Arena 6, and doors will open at 7:30 AM.

Tickets are available online in advance at http://nrhafuturity.com or can be purchased at the door. General Admission tickets are $20. With the purchase of any ticket, spectators will be granted entrance into the NRHA Futurity Open Finals later that day at 1 PM and 5 PM in the Coliseum. For fans wishing to sit close to the action, NRHA will offer a limited number of arena-floor bleacher seats for $30. Fans in these “up-close seats” will have the advantage of getting in line first for Clinton’s autograph signing following the demonstration.

During the demo, Clinton will give away a Colt Starting Series ($599 retail value) to one lucky audience member. The training kit comes with 11 DVDs and 26 Arena Mates. In the Colt Starting Series, Clinton covers every aspect of starting a young horse from catching a wild horse to safely walking, trotting and cantering on a loose rein both in the arena and on the trail. The series is filled with countless success tips, safety precautions and troubleshooting advice. There will be other giveaways during the demo to look forward to as well.
