A Successful Partnership Starts at Birth

Ensuring a foal lives up to your expectations starts by establishing the right foundation. Clinton has laid out a step-by-step guide to teaching young horses the fundamentals of a successful partnership in his Foal Training Kit. “Working with foals is one of the most rewarding experiences because they learn so quickly,” Clinton says. “The behavior a foal learns now sets the tone for his future success.”

The series features in-depth training videos that cover 30 exercises and includes corresponding Arena Mates for each lesson. Throughout the series, Clinton works with two foals. He imprints Sarah on film and leaves Fergie untouched until she’s a month old to demonstrate how he approaches each training scenario. First lessons include haltering, leading, yielding the hindquarters, and desensitizing. Advanced training includes backing up, lunging, tying up, and handling of feet.
