On the Right Track With the Method

I am a new No Worries Club member. I introduced a newer horse to our family, and she’s a horse my 7-year-old daughter has been riding. The horse is a 12-year-old grade Quarter Horse and was bought for her to ride. She was sold as a safe horse, and during the buying stage, the horse was fine and didn’t show any issues.

Shortly after getting her, when my daughter would ride her, the horse would start to head toss. When I would get on her, this behavior would go away. She would test me, but then would quickly give up.

Fast forward to four months later and the head tossing was getting so bad with my daughter that she didn’t want to ride anymore. At my wit’s end, I decided it was either learn to train this horse or she would have to go.

Over the last year and a half, I have followed your method, but really wanted an app-based program that was easily accessible, especially while at the barn. I looked up Downunder Horsemanship and recalled that you launched an app-based program. I am so thankful for the program. Just in the first five days, I have noticed a 180 in our horse. The horse lacked respect, and what I have learned is this horse does have a good brain.

Bottom line: I thank you for creating the Method and I look forward to building on what I have started with our horse, Stella. She is a horse that will stay with our family.

My daughter is excited to ride again. She rode over the weekend and the head tossing was nearly gone. We have a lot more work to go, but I am amazed at what we have accomplished already.
