Tips to Get Your Unmotivated Horse to Canter

The Walkabout Tour presented by Ritchie Industries is coming to the T. Ed Garrison Arena and Expo Center in Clemson, South Carolina, December 21 and 22. During the two-day event, Clinton and our Professional Clinicians will put on a variety of training demonstrations that range from colt starting to training performance horses.

One of the demonstrations will focus on riding with confidence. While Clinton teaches the demo, Professional Clinicians Jeff Davis and Diego Gaona will work with two local horses that have issues under saddle. While an array of topics will be addressed in the demo, one subject will be how to get a horse moving forward freely.

During the demonstration, Clinton will take Jeff and Diego through several exercises to get the horses comfortable going forward at the walk, trot and canter. Horsemen in the audience will get to see how the Method can help hotter, forward-thinking horses to relax as well as how to get duller, lazier-type horses to move out.

For a complete schedule of the training demonstrations that will be held at the Walkabout Tour, visit our website. Tickets are $25 for the weekend. For a limited time, when you purchase a general admission ticket or claim your No Worries Club member ticket, you’ll receive a free general admission ticket.
