At the Franklin, Tennessee Walkabout Tour, Clinton honored Method Ambassador Rick Badousek with a Downunder Horsemanship Lifetime Achievement Award. The award is an honor Clinton created in 2021 to recognize individuals who have inspired him throughout his career as a clinician.
Rick, from Queen Creek, Arizona, has been playing an integral role in Clinton’s life since the early 2000s, when Downunder Horsemanship was just getting on its feet. When Rick helped out at a three-day clinic in Arizona, Clinton immediately recognized his never-quit work ethic and dedication. Over the years, what started as a business relationship developed into a close friendship.
“Rick has been an important part in Downunder Horsemanship’s success over the years. Whenever I’ve needed him, he’s always been there for me and has had the company’s best interest in mind from the start. I’m lucky to have him in my life,” Clinton says.
The two horseman’s relationship has spanned over 20 years filled with teaching clinics and tours and going on adventures that have led them to mustering brumbies and camels in the Outback.
Rick is the third recipient of the prestigious Downunder Horsemanship Lifetime Achievement award. Previous honorees are John Simmerman and Harry Bunton, both gentlemen received recognition last year.
