Congratulations, Jean and Venus!

Clinton would like to congratulate Jean Olinger on the purchase of her yearling filly Venus. Venus is a Clinton Anderson Performance Horse bred to excel in reining. A beautiful bay filly, Venus already shows tremendous athletic ability and presence. She’s by Smart Spook, the highest money-earning stallion in the NRHA. Smart Spook has earned $405,080 in the show pen and is a NRHA Derby and Futurity champion as well as an FEI World Reining Masters champion. His offspring have won $2,114,569, making him an NRHA 2 Million Dollar Sire. Venus’s dam, Chexanicki, a granddaughter of standout sires Reminic and Hollywood Dun It, was a 2003 NRHA Non Pro Futurity finalist and 2004 NRHA Non Pro Derby champion. She earned $87,314 in the show pen, and her offspring have secured $228,039 in winnings.

Jean recently visited the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch to watch a three-day clinic and had the opportunity to learn more about Clinton’s Performance Horse Program. “When I joined a group of participants and heard Clinton’s passion for the performance horses, I was sold. I believe that observing and working with Clinton will help me maximize my decisions and hope to contribute to the performance horse industry and reining horse sport,” Jean shares.
