Do you have what it takes to impress Clinton and earn bragging rights for your Method meet-up group? Clinton is proud of the groups of horsemen who practice the Method and meet on a regular basis to inspire each other to accomplish their goals. He has worked closely with several of the groups and has been impressed with the horsemanship skills he’s seen. Plus, we love hearing about all the successes groups bring about! That’s why we’re throwing out a challenge to practice groups: Who can best impress Clinton with their horsemanship skills and be crowned as the top Method group?
The Challenge:
Downunder Horsemanship will select four horsemen from different Method groups to compete at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch in Stephenville, Texas in a series of challenges Clinton tosses at them. Contestants will be tested over their knowledge of groundwork and riding exercises in the arena, on the trail and over the obstacle course. The Challenge will take place April 18th, 19th and 20th, and will be filmed for a future No Worries Club DVD.
How to Apply:
-
Method groups will nominate up to two of their most skilled members to be considered for the Downunder Horsemanship Challenge. Nominated individuals must be 18 years of age or older and current No Worries Club members. Only one member from a group will be selected to compete in the Challenge. To ensure an even playing field, individuals with Signature Horses or Academy Horses will not be eligible to compete.
-
Nominated contestants and their horses must be at the Downunder Horsemanship Ranch and available April 18th – 20th. Contestants will be responsible for getting themselves and their horses to the ranch and all accommodations during their stay. (Horses will be boarded at the ranch free of charge. Contestants must provide feed and care for their horses.)
-
Nominated contestants must fill out an application on the Casting Call webpage under the “Downunder Horsemanship Challenge” tab and include a short video in which they do each of the Fundamentals Series exercises with the horse they’d like to compete in the challenge with.
-
Completed applications and videos must be received in the Downunder Horsemanship office by 5:00 p.m. Monday, February 29th.
-
Chosen contestants will be contacted the week of March 7th.
Video Tips:

At the start of your video, give us a brief intro — who you are, which Method group you belong to and how long you’ve been practicing the Method with your horse — and include a short endorsement from your Method group leader about why they believe you and your horse will win the Challenge.
-
Briefly demonstrate each Fundamentals exercise in order with no audio or talking.
-
Videos must be live footage – no picture slideshows will be accepted.
-
Keep your video under 30 minutes in length.
