March No Worries Club DVD

What do you do with a big, powerful horse that doesn’t know how to use the thinking side of his brain? You start the Fundamentals with him! This month’s NWC DVD lesson features an off-the-track Thoroughbred mare that was purchased by a well-meaning family to be their daughter’s competition horse. Unfortunately, while the mare is built to perform well in show jumping and eventing, she doesn’t have the mindset to be a safe fit for a young, inexperienced horseman. The family contacted Downunder Horsemanship for help, and Clinton and Professional Clinician Brittany Huff stepped in to work with the family and their out-of-control mare.

When the mare arrives at the ranch, she’s extremely reactive and has severe issues about being tied up and saddled. She pulls back and breaks halters and crossties. This lesson chronicles four days of Brittany doing the Fundamentals exercises with the mare, allowing you to watch the mare go from a reactive mess to a much-improved horse on her way to being a safe mount for her young rider. This lesson will give you the good, the bad, the ugly and the results that can be achieved with the Method.

Please note that we made a mistake when producing this month’s NWC exclusive: The mailer and artwork for the DVD do not match the contents of the DVD. We apologize for our mistake and any confusion it may cause. You’ll get to watch “A Fundamental Fix: Head Shy” (the lesson described on this month’s mailer) in May. In the meantime, we hope you enjoy the March DVD lesson.
